Vom 18. bis 20. April 2018 findet an der Wirtschaftsuniversität (WU) in Wien das 19. Seminar der LIBER Architecture Group statt. Der Titel der Veranstaltung lautet The Context for Library Planning: The Next Phase. Thematische Schwerpunkte bei den insgesamt sieben Sessions sind die Rolle der Bibliothek bei Campus-Planungen, die 'Post-Occupancy'-Evaluationen von Bibliotheken, Learning Centres, bau- und ausstattungstechnische Themen sowie die Präsentation interessanter neuer Bibliotheks-Projekte. Die Veranstaltung ist für jeden von Interesse, der sich mit Bibliotheksarchitektur, -planung und -bau beschäftigt. Neben dem offiziellen Programm gibt es zusätzlich ein optionales Vor- und Nachprogramm. So wird am Mittwoch (18. April 2018) die Möglichkeit geboten, den Campus der WU ausführlich kennenzulernen. Am Freitag (20. April) steht nach Abschluss des Seminars ein Besuch in der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek im Angebot. Außerdem wird am Samstag (21. April) noch ein Ausflug nach Klosterneuburg angeboten.
